"Support Every Step of Your Baby's Growth"

In this design project, our group was tasked with creating a product for Sophie, a new mother, to alleviate challenges and enhance her daily experiences. We achieved this through in-person interviews, co-design sessions, and iterative design processes. The final goal was to develop a product that positively impacts Sophie’s life and supports her journey through motherhood.

OUR
project

ABOUT

Sophie is a new mother to four-month-old Liam, balancing motherhood, Pilates, and salsa dancing after living in Brazil. Now in the Netherlands, she’s focused on building a local parent community while maintaining her personal well-being.

Sophie is experiencing the joys and challenges of raising her first child, constantly learning and adapting to Liam’s needs.

Sophie values social connections and wants to build a supportive local parent network where she can share experiences and create lasting friendships.

Sophie has always led an active lifestyle, teaching Pilates and dancing salsa. She strives to maintain her physical well-being even while balancing motherhood.

Our Process

Phase 1 involved establishing contact with the user through interviews and contextual research. The goal was to gain insights into daily challenges and identify key opportunities for impactful design solutions.

Exploration

Phase 2 focused on brainstorming and co-design sessions to develop potential solutions. Through collaborative ideation, we identified key aspects of the challenge and refined concepts to better meet user needs.

Co-Design

Phase 3 involved prototyping and iterative testing to bring the concept to life. A model was developed to explore features and functionality, with user feedback guiding refinements to ensure a practical and user-friendly final design.
